Steve Jobs are placed in the list of the greatest inventors of all time , behind Thomas Edison , according to a list of the Lemelson - MIT Invention Index.
As quoted from Mashable , the data come from a survey of 1,010 Americans aged 16-25 .
By 52 % of respondents chose Edison , while 24% chose Alexander Graham Bell , Marie Curie , Mark Zuckerberg , who received three percent of the voice vote .

In addition , Leigh Estabrooks , Education Officer of MIT said that this year's survey shows that less than half of the respondents have made some discoveries , and he will continue to support these findings .
